A new 72-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites will open on Friend Street in downtown Boston this summer. The historic 100-year-old building is getting a $2 million renovation and guests will be within walking distance to some of Boston’s best attractions including Fanueil Hall, Boston Commons, Beacon Hill and the Old North Church. Business travelers will appreciate the free high speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, free local phone calls, phone with private voicemail and free daily delivery of USA Today. The hotel will also offer 15 suites with a wet bar, microwave and refrigerator.
