Aeroplan now has a mileage donation greeting card program where members can donate miles in someone else’s name. Members can choose to donate a minimum of 2,500 miles to participating charities in Aeroplan’s Beyond Miles donation program and Aeroplan will send a personalized card to notify the benefactor of the gift made on their behalf. Participating charities include Air Canada Kids’ Horizons, Engineers Without Borders, Medecins Sans Frontieres and Veterinarians Without Borders. As of Feb. 13, 2008, Aeroplan members have donated a total of 90,349,120 miles through the Beyond Miles program.
