Miles & More Credit Card Returns

Miles & More Credit Card Returns

When Bank of America discontinued its co-branded Miles & More Visa card on Oct. 1, 2007, frequent flyers in the U.S. wanted to know about a replacement. It didn’t take long for a financial player to join Lufthansa and offer credit to stranded Miles & More members. Barclays Bank is the issuer of the new co-branded Miles & More credit card for U.S. residents. Members can choose from two cards, the Miles & More World MasterCard or Premier Miles & More World MasterCard. Cardmembers of both cards will receive at least one mile for every dollar spent on purchases, an annual companion ticket, reduced rate foreign-exchange fee (one percent), no mileage expiration and no annual fee for Miles & More Senator and HON Circle members.

The annual fee for the Miles & More World MasterCard is $59 and members will receive 15,000 bonus miles after first purchase and up to 10,000 additional bonus miles for balance transfers.

The Premier card has a $79 annual fee and features 20,000 bonus miles after first purchase and up to 15,000 additional bonus miles for balance transfers, two miles for every dollar spent on Lufthansa or other Miles & More partner airline ticket purchases, complimentary World MasterCard concierge service and access to more than 500 airport lounges worldwide with Airport Lounge Access by Priority Pass.
