Martiz Research recently surveyed those who have flown in the last six months and found that of those who attempted to redeem airline miles for flights, 8 out of 10 were able to find a seat on a flight that fit their desired travel plans — an impressive 80 percent. However, the majority at 67 percent expressed that their opinion of airlines is negatively affected by the tightening of policies regarding mileage expiration. Maritz Poll is a national consumer opinion survey conducted periodically by Martiz Research. The recent online poll surveyed more than 1,000 randomly selected adults throughout the U.S. about airline brands and customer-experience-related issues. Other findings include 73 percent would like a family section in airplanes, 56 percent were against cell phone use in flight and 63 percent would choose to pay for more legroom over food in flight.
