Marriott Stay Anytime awards, the awards that can be used anywhere and anytime with no blackout dates or restrictions, will be available for twice as many points as Standard awards, effective June 1, 2007. Marriott cites rising program costs as the reason behind the increase. Stay Anytime awards are currently available for 50 percent more points than the Standard awards and reservations can be made up to a year in advance, so if you are planning on staying at Vail over Christmas this year, now is the time to redeem your points before the required number of points increases to 100 percent.
