Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), a U.K. travel management group, has determined that Moscow has the highest average room rate in the world, up 25 percent from 2005 at $434 per night. This is the second year in a row that Moscow has had the highest hotel rate. The top five most expensive hotel stays worldwide are in Moscow, New York City ($365 night), Bangalore ($328 night), Paris ($311 night) and Hong Kong ($305 night). The top five most expensive hotel stays in the United States are in New York City, Boston (ranked 11th worldwide; $272 night), San Francisco (ranked 13th worldwide; $268 night), Chicago (ranked 17th world wide; $263 night) and Philadelphia (ranked 42nd worldwide; $185 night).
