Alaska Mileage Plan members will now have to shell out more miles when traveling in business or first class and claiming awards between North America and Asia or the South Pacific on Cathay Pacific. As of Jan. 1, business class tickets to Asia are 100,000 miles, up from 90,000 and first class tickets are 140,000 miles, up from 120,000. Business class tickets to the South Pacific are 120,000, up from 100,000 and first class tickets are 160,000, up from 135,000. Coach tickets for these awards will remain the same: 60,000 miles to Asia and 80,000 miles to the South Pacific.
