In a complete reversal of modern times, Red Lion Hotels, Alaska Airlines, and Travelocity have partnered together for a very interesting promotion.

There are two parts to the promotion, one part designed to bolster your miles or points and the other bolsters your wallet.

Through Dec. 4, travelers who book a stay at any Red Lion hotel on Travelocity will receieve an electronic certificate good for 10 percent savings on a future flight on either Alaska Airlines or its sister airline, Horizon Air. That’s the “green” part.

The red part is that if the traveler is a member of Red Lion Hotels GuestAwards program, they can choose as an additional benefit of either 2,000 bonus points or 1,000 miles with Alaska’s Mileage Plan program.
