Air Jamaica Set to Re-launch Program

Air Jamaica Set to Re-launch Program

Air Jamaica is making major changes to its 7th Heaven frequent Flyer program.

The program, which was previously credit-based, will shift into a miles-based scheme. New members will receive a 500-mile bonus upon registration, and a new 7th Heaven Rewards MasterCard, set to launch July 1, will offer one mile per dollar spent, with double miles for Air Jamaica purchases.

Current class-of-service bonuses will remain the same, but will offer miles instead of credits. Business-class flights earn a 50-percent bonus, while first-class flights earn a full 100 percent. Car rentals from partner Hertz will earn 50 miles per day, and members will get a 10-percent discount in the U.S. and Caribbean.

Membership in the elite Chairman’s Club will still be available after 25 roundtrips, but members will also be able to qualify by earning 100,000 miles.

Miles will not expire as long as a member’s account shows some activity every three years.
