Delta Air Lines is marking the 25th anniversary of its SkyMiles program by sponsoring a sweepstakes giveaway with the support of Avis Rent A Car and GM. Delta will award new 2007 Saturn SKY roadsters to 25 lucky members. It’s a brand new vehicle being introduced this year by Saturn, has the name “SKY” (which is appropriate for “Sky” Miles) and has a significant waiting list of people wanting it at dealerships. The 25 winners will be flown to Atlanta at the end of the year, where they will be awarded the new vehicles by the Delta Air Lines CEO. Members may visit delta.com to view the SKY convertible. Participants will receive one entry into the sweepstakes for every 1,000 miles earned between now and Dec. 31.

And as long as we’re talking about cars, Dollar, Thrifty and Hertz are offering triple miles to Delta SkyMiles members.

Thrifty is offering the triple-threat when you rent a mid-size or larger car for 2-7 days through May 31.

Hertz is giving triple miles and special rates on Volvos, Jaguars, and the Lincoln LS at participating locations in the U.S. and Canada through June 30. Provide your SkyMiles number, CDP# 165385, and PC# 959000.

Members who rent a compact or larger car for two days or longer from Dollar will also get triple miles through June 30.
