Until May 31, HHonors members can “opt out” of the acclaimed double-dipping (earning both HHonors points and airline miles, a practice often praised in these pages) in favor of more hotel points.

Members who register at http://www.hiltonhhonors.com/50percentbonus will be able to earn a 50-percent bonus on base points earned during the promotion.
