Through Upromise, an online service that converts your loyalty points into savings for college tuition, Preferred Guest members can redeem 5,000 Starpoints toward $50 worth of future.

Call Starwood Customer Care at (888) 625-4988, and be prepared to give your Starwood Preferred Guest account number and the number of the Upromise account in which you would like your Starpoints deposited.

To sign up for Upromise (it’s free!) go to www.upromise.com. Find your Upromise account number at the top of the “My Account” page.

The Starwood redemption should initially appear as a pending contribution in the selected Upromise account within 14 days. Generally, funds should be deposited into a Upromise account within 45 days.

The minimum number of Starpoints required for redemption is 5,000. Additional Starpoints can be redeemed in increments of 1,000.
