The program has announced a double dip relation with SkyMall, you know, the shopping catalogs in every (well, almost every) airline seat back. Rewards members will now be able to redeem their points for gift certificates, electronics, sporting goods and travel accessories any time of the year. Tests of a merchandise catalog during the holidays went extremely well, and now the program is open to all members. Even better is that the catalog has gone electronic and new merchandise will constantly be offered to members at the Web site.
As for the double dip, Marriott Rewards members will now be able to earn 10 points per dollar spent shopping online at www.skymall.com. So, what’s it going to be, earn more points or burn the ones you have?
