Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines, recently addressed a luncheon in Washington, D.C., mentioning some merger achievements, such as American and US Airways having created the world’s largest codeshare agreement and US Airways joining the oneworld alliance. Furthermore, he noted, “… and, oh yeah, we’re producing record profits.”

Parker said that American and US Airways must combine 700 different systems and gave estimated times for the integrations: Early 2015, AAdvantage and Dividend Miles will be combined; mid-2015, American and US Airways will have a single operating certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration and by late 2015, American and US Airways will have a single reservation system.
