Flights up to 1,000 miles normally require 15,000 miles, but during this promotion, the redemption amount is 10,000 miles; sample flights include Los Angeles to Phoenix and New York City to Boston or Washington, D.C. Flights between 1,001 and 2,000 miles are 15,000 miles instead of the usual 20,000 miles, such as flights from San Francisco to Phoenix or Chicago to Philadelphia. Flights between 2,001 and 4,000 miles are 16,000 miles instead of 21,000 miles, such as flights from Chicago to Phoenix. And at the top end, flights between 4,001 and 6,000 miles are 27,000 miles instead of the usual 37,000 miles, such as flights from New York or Boston to Phoenix or Los Angeles or San Francisco to Philadelphia.

These sale award flights are only available in economy class and standard mileage and discount mileage cannot be combined on the same itinerary. The number of award seats available is limited.
