Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards and Points.com announced near the end of last year that the airline had signed up to partner with Points.com so that members can trade their Rapid Rewards points for currency of other frequent flyer programs and make it easy to buy and gift Rapid Rewards points and transfer points to friends and family. Now that the partnership is in full swing, for the first time, Rapid Rewards members will get a 25 percent bonus when purchasing points until July 16, 2013.

Another new Southwest partner is MGM Resorts International. Rapid Rewards members will earn 600 points on all eligible stays at Las Vegas M life resort including Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Luxor, Excalibur and more.
