American Airlines will be refurbishing its fleet of 124 Boeing 757-200 airplanes beginning in 2008. The airline will be installing new cabin interiors, new seats and an updated in-flight entertainment system. The first class cabin will also be redesigned and a coat closet will be replaced with two additional seats, increasing first-class capacity from 22 to 24 passengers and adding more upgrade opportunities for AAdvantage elite frequent flyers.
