Delta Air Lines has launched the Fly Delta App for iPad. The app features what Delta calls a “Glass Bottom Jet” when you are connected on any of Delta’s WiFi-equipped aircraft that offers a unique way to view the ground below through maps, social networks and Internet content. The app also includes travel planning tools to book a trip, destination guides, flight check-in, an interactive trip map and the “What’s Next” feature designed to help guide customers to the next point in their journey.

Delta also recently revamped its website to include a My Delta section that consolidates trip summaries, account details, personal preferences, payment information and travel settings in a single location. The My Trips section brings together all of the details of a trip including air, car, hotel, Trip Extras, weather information and travel alerts. And the new My Wallet feature keeps payment information and receipts in a digital wallet on delta.com. Additional website enhancements are planned for the first half of this year.

A newly redesigned Delta app for the iPhone was also launched with the ability to book tickets and other features like Passbook. The Fly Delta app for Android will be updated soon.
