Amtrak has launched an iPhone app that can be downloaded for free from iTunes. Travelers on Amtrak can use the app to make and change reservations, view current travel deals, check arrival and departure times, view train schedules and get directions using Google Maps. You can also view station information, including locations, amenities and hours of operation. Amtrak Guest Rewards members who redeem points for train travel cannot use the app to book a trip or modify an existing award booking, but this feature is expected to be added soon. Members can access their Guest Rewards account with the app.
