As United and Continental continue toward their merger, customers can now shop for flights, obtain seat assignments and check their flight status on united.com or continental.com when traveling on either airline.

At United and Continental’s largest airports, including hubs in Chicago, New York (Newark), Houston and San Francisco, customers may now check-in and print boarding passes for flights on either airline using any United or Continental operated self-service check-in kiosk.

The airlines’ social media channels have been integrated and now customers of UA and CO can connect via the Twitter handle @United and a new Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/unitedairlines
