With more than a third of our customers now checking in online, this will definitely speed up the process for those just needing to drop bags or reprint a boarding pass. In the future, we’ll be adding quick-start bar codes to other types of confirmations, like e-mail reminders, eTicket receipts and online confirmations. Also at the kiosk, we’ll be adding the capability to scan bar-coded passports and driver licenses as an alternate way to find a reservation (you’d be surprised how many people don’t have credit cards). Worth noting, the addition of bar code readers at our kiosks is in addition to, not in place of, our card and passport readers.
