Delta Sticks With Print

Delta Sticks With Print

There must be something in the Atlanta water, because Delta just keeps going its own way.

As nearly every other airline is moving to an exclusively electrobnic environment to communicate with their customers, Delta has made the trend-bucking move of solidifying its print presence.

The Instant Web Cos., a printer and direct-mail company, was awarded a contract to administer the SkyMiles program.

Instant Web will produce and distribute newsletters, statements and membership cards. Though the three-year contract began in January, it was only announced in October.

Delta has apparently decided it is important to maintain written communications with its customers, even though other airlines are cutting back on these activities.

We agree. Good move, Delta.
