Hi Everyone,

It’s that time of year! United will be hosting its 10th annual Family Day Open House for United employees and their families this year at SFO. Here are the details:

Date: Sunday October 11th

Time: 11:00am to 4:00pm

Location: SFO Maintenance Center
This year, we’re bringing back a lot of what you know and love, including aircraft on display (from multiple United narrow and wide-bodies, to stunt planes and civilian models) maintenance facility tours, a plane pull contest, and more. Featured guests also include the United 777 BBQ squad as well as the Patriots precision flying team, which was founded by a United pilot and is the largest civilian-owned aerobatic jet team in the world.

As in years past, we expect a large turn-out at this event, but have secured a limited number of tickets for members here and a guest to attend. If you'd like to and are able to join us this year, please fill out the following survey to indicate your interest in attending.

We will let you know via e-mail by September 25th if we’re able to confirm you and will clear those on the “standby” list by October 7th. Once confirmed, you’ll receive an email with all the specifics. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks for inviting us all. Sadly, that's the weekend we'll be in Tahoe, so I hope everyone else enjoys it.

Any chance N808UA, the A319 with the new domestic F seats, will be on display for folks to check out?

If any of you going would like to show your appreciation to United for continuing to invite MP/FT members to Family Day, you can do so by donating to United's WeCare Employee Relief Fund via FFG ( http://www.ffgiving.org/ ). Completely optional, of course, but even a $10 or $20 per person donation would help our friends in continuing to justify this and other events opened to all of you!

Thanks those at UA who make this possible: I look forward to joining everyone for the event. Does anyone wants ride from Potrero Hill?

Just wondering, are you (or United We Care) setup to accept corporate gift matches?

They can as FFG is a fully documented 501(c)(3) organization. I tried to do that for the funds we raised as part of Austin Mega DO earlier this year but was unsuccessful since it was a pooled amount. Individual contributions are usually easier to deal with based on my limited and wholly novice understanding of the laws surrounding that stuff.

You don't happen to know the EIN of United We Care, do you? FFG was easy to add as there was only one match, but UWC pops up a whole bunch of possible matches.
