Received this today via emiles. Link to register: http://www.raisethemacallan.com/lookup_event Events are held at different locations throughout USittle bit about what makes it one of the most celebrated
whiskies in the world. You'll be certain to gain an appreciation
for the time-honored process that makes
The Macallan a cut above the rest

I went to one of these tasting events back in 2008 / 2009 and it was great. You get to taste Macallan from the 12 yr up through the 18 yr and they provide snacks and chocolate to have with your drink. Additionally, if you're not a seasoned scotch drinker, they provide information and the opportunity to try how the flavor can change with having scotch straight, with water, and on the rocks. The only downside is sitting through their marketing spiel but overall, it was very informational and a great experience.... all for free!

The best benefit to me is now knowing that my favorite Macallan is the 15 yr Fine Oak.

I had attended a similar event probably over 5 years ago by Johnnie Walker and also loved it. That is how I actually got hooked on scotch and then later evolved to a single malt. They really taught me on how to appreciate scotch.

Yep. It was amazing. You just have to wait till they start serving good stuff during presentation and do not drink cheap stuff served before presentation

I went a machallan event last year. Not only did I drink a lot of free scotch and learn how my tastes fit, I got real props cause two of my good friends ALSO got to come and drink a lot of free scotch. And on top of that, I got emiles for it ;)

Does anyone have any locations that work? I figured there would be at least one NYC event but no NYC zip code is bringing up results.

There are locations throughout US. Just keep trying other metropolitan areas.

    Nothing near me. :(

And scrolling down the menu that far to find the year i was born was depressing. I know, I have no right to complain, but I will anyway because I'm young and you can't catch me. :p

Hmmm, couldn't find any in the Pacific NW. That's alright - it would be for my boyfriend. I don't even like scotch.
