It doesn't have to be high quality, it doesn't have to have a hott babe posing near it, it doesn't even have to be your car. Put up whatever car pic you...uh...like and optionally tell us why.

This is one of my favorites as my license plate proudly proclaims my favorite destination and my heritage:

Honda S600 My first sports car. I bought one of these when I lived in Thailand. It made me so enthusiastic that I bought Honda shares that i sold 20 years later. This tiny 600cc machine had a 11,500RPM redline, needle bearings and dual overhead cams on a tiny four cylinder inline engine. i drove it everywhere including a long trip from Pattaya, where I lived, to Cambodia, Laos and Northern Thailand, then back. Wonderful memories. I have no photos of my own.

I had a very red BMW Z1 in France for a long time, a birthday gift from Mrs. jb. The only time I ever was stopped with that one was for driving with the doors down. The one here is not mine but is an exact duplicate. They only made about 3000 of them. the police loved them but did not cite them for speeding!

No it was not. they obviously used motorcycle engine technology but it was purpose designed. If I could find one now I would buy it! I'm looking for several of my other cars. I hope you are too.

This was probably my most serious "sleeper" among cars. In the late 1960's everyone had muscle cars but Mercedes Benz had none. They took the big V8 from the 600 Limousine and stuffed it into the 300SEL and called the result the 300 SEL 6.3. It was one of the quickest and fastest cars of it's day. Mine was a 1969, but I bought it just after the oil shock of 1973 for a pittance and kept it a short while. the prices shot up when the crisis was over, and I did not want to ship it with me 250px-MHV_MB_W109_300SEL6.3_01.jpg 250px-MB_W109_6_3_engine.jpg to Iran, where I was moving at the time. I received a speeding citation for 145MPH in upstate New York with it. I went to court and said "what kind of car could even do that? This is just a mercedes sedan after all". The officer did not show up anyway so the citation was voided.

I don't know what the US Air Force called a Sabreliner, but that is the one I like. Those things are still around. If we keep this up I will start posting airplane photos.

This one I never owned. I lived in Greenwich Village in 1967, in an apartment building. The person who lived just below me had a 427SC just like this one, except his was British Racing Green. He lost his license soon after he got the car, so I spent about six glorious months driving him around in his car. Among other things I drove him at an indicated 150MPH on the Harlem River Drive on a Sunday morning at about 6 AM.

On one memorable weekend afternoon we were in his car driving around Tompkins Square Park. His girlfriend, a very pretty and pulchritudinous person, was sitting on the tonneau cover wearing a tshirt but no other garment under it. A policeman pulled us over and issued a citation for "parts of body protruding". I paid it and still have the receipt Shelby_427_SC_Cobra_CSX_by_Partywave.jpg

None at all. I don't discuss that particular experience with Mrs. jb.

At the age of 12, in Cebu City, I learned to drive in a Gordini (exact color as the one below)...not exactly legal but it made me very popular.

I was properly parked...the line painters had it wrong.

Actually, I just did that for the pic. I tend to park away from buildings but I don't take up two spaces.

this is what I learned to drive in; complete with sunroof, a hand crank to start the engine on those really cold Chicago mornings. My father had three of them, IIRC they were all this color.

My parents once had one of these. It was yellow, and was the worst car ever.

One of the funnier Top Gear segments was with Jeremy Clarkson and a Reliant Robin.

A car just like this was what ignited my passion for BMWs.
