For three credits I could actually justify upgrading a short-haul (<500) flight!

I would consider doing an upgrade on a short flight first week of January but have all my 111 eCredits planned for flights the first two months - hoping the upgrades come through of course ...

Looks like 1501+miles been raised by 2 pts? Summer promo was 6?

After next week's (upgraded) NRT run I'll have 57 credits left (I love how easy it is to upgrade a mid-week YYZ-NRT!) but only 27 of those expiring in February. And I'm almost certainly going to have another NRT flight before that!

Yeah, it's not very proportional to the <1500. Save 3 credits on short haul domestic. Only 2 on long haul?? Doesn't make much sense.

  7. Why don't they discount international flights as J class is pretty much open during the holidays?

Essentially this is a rough equivalent to the old promo whereby you could use the blue/green certs on NA flights. My guess is they really want to maintain the value of those long-haul upgrades.

Since it's 8 credits for > 1500 miles, could you skirt this by having a connection? I.e., if I were flying yyz-yyc this would by 8 credits, however if I flew yyz-ywg-yyc, could I request the segments separately at 3 and 3 a piece and therefore have my total trip come out to 6 credits instead of 8?
