Interesting discussion on Obama calling for private jet owners to lose their tax breaks. The most interesting parts I thought were the numbers in owning, operating and chartering private jets. http://online.wsj.com/video/what-it...8793-5D2140CC1184.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_mpvidcar_1
Trip reports in commercial first are aplenty. Just wondering, has anyone upped the ante to do one on a private jet?
Well... here are 2 pics of my trip on a private jet that I posted a while back: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/plane-porn-why-we-fly-in-photos.3305/page-4. In terms of TR there's not much of one only because of the amazing simplicity of flying private... drive right up to the plane, get on, relax, land, get off to a car waiting about 5 feet away from where you landed... End!
Based on my ridiculously limited private chartered jet experience, the best part of the whole process is the ground experience. In flight is reasonably comfortable but nothing special.
Well 2 of the busiest airports in the US for private aviation are TEB in NJ (serving NYC) and VNY in CA (serving LA). In addition, there are plenty of private jets going in and out of Vegas (many of them casino owned) to take high rollers to and from. A couple of the major terminal operators are MillionAir and Atlantic Aviation. Here, in CA at VNY, Clay Lacy is pretty renowned for its service in the industry.
