I just found this rate for picking up on Bay St. or Bloor St. or Blue Jays Way & returning to DTW. Min. 1, max. 7 days. Also it is compatible with MUWA118 for a discount of C$32 if renting at least 5 days & over a Sat. night. Also applies to pickups in London or Windsor Ont. Similar deal for picking up @ YYZ.
It's a little different if one picks up at 1537 Avenue Road in what was North York. Low $200s per week but with a MINIMUM of 7 days, but it may be dropped off elsewhere in Michigan at that rate.

    no mileage charges?

I ask as I've found great OW deals from Canada to US but every one has involved mileage charges.

Correct, there are no mileage charges on these deals.
BTW, about 10 years ago, Hertz had similar deals for a while from Toronto to Detroit & Ohio. Every so often one car-rental co.or another gets too many US--plated cars in Canada & needs to get them back, because Canadian citizens are not allowed per Customs reg.s to tool around Canada in foreign-registered cars. So the rental contract says 'I promise to drive this car directly into the USA ASAP, which doesn't apply to Americans or other foreigners, who are allowed to drive cars of their home country while in Canada.
Likewise, Avis may need to get Canadian cars to DTW so residents of Vancouver or Halifax or wherever who fly in, may drive into Windsor, Ontario!

And, in fact, "ASAP" can't exceed 30 days so there is indeed a high incentive.

That's also why in the opposite direction, one-ways are usually more expensive.
