    I wonder how this would work, as TAP is a member of Star Alliance, while Iberia & BA are both part of OneWorld. I'll be interested to see the outcome.

    If that happens probably goes to OW. There still is discussion of LATAM, and if that happens the question is odder because TAM is *A while LAN is OW.

    Were it to go through I have no doubt that TP would move from *A to OW.

    The only ones will be a few within Brazil, because TAP has 14 destinations there. LAN, Iberia and American already serve most of those places, but not all. British has lots of capacity, but for GRU and GIG. In short, you'll get more smaller brazil cities, but that is it.

    It would be faster to get to Maputo, Cape Verde, and maybe some other former colonies.

    That is true. The traffic seems fairly light on those routes.:confused:
