Just got an email from AA about $300 business class carribean trips this fall.

I'm looking to book anyway... Would be nice to book United since I'm going to be cutting gold status close.

You get the "drinking" discount. ;)

Definitely not a bad deal still if it is available for your destination/dates.

    Beer reading-goggles!;)

btw it still annoys me that airfares are advertised with the "$### one way, based on RT purchase" deal. Yeah I know I just have to multiply by two, but it's like putting up a car for sale - $15,000* for this car (price per *per half-car, based on whole car purchase)!

It's funny how often an advertised "sale" isn't much of a bargain compared to unadvertised sales/fare wars. Which I never knew about before I started to watch FT, MP, etc.

    Very true!

I also refuse to multiply by 2.

You don't have to multiply by 2 you can just add the numbers up 1+1 = 2:D

$300 each way sounds like a good deal for business class. I've paid a fair bit more than that for A class to Curaçao.

For a long time UA sold a ~$300 ow A fare LAX-IAD/ORD/EWR-SJU and v.v., great if you could get the flights to time up with the 3-cabin 777 on IAD-LAX.

    Wouldn't mind seeing that return.
