My employer is very liberal and recognizes the company car as a part of compensation. They actually still pay for gas for personal use. I am wondering how long this will last.

Every company car I've ever had (a bunch), the employer has always paid for gas, insurance, maitenance.

I now use my personal car and receive $.50 per mile for personal use, I think the Fed's suggested rate is $.55 per mile.

Some employers do not provide any compensation for use of a personal car for business purposes, which was always a red flag when I was deciding where to work.

Fed's suggested rate right now is $.51.
