Why is it called The Ramp?

    Getting on my Seinfeld soapbox.

    Why is it called The Ramp? There is no ramp. Where's the ramp? Doesn't a ramp have an incline? Did you ever see a plane on an incline while parked at the gate?

    Color me confused. ;)
