    Interesting article, though I thought people hurried to board so they would have room for their carry-ons in the overhead.

    Yeah, if I didn't have anything I needed to put in the overhead or was 100% sure I'd have overhead space, I would much rather board late. One big plus of status is boarding first so that you know there will be overhead space.

    Overhead space is the only reason I fight to get on first. In a perfect world I would have space and could just wait in the club until time to stroll on just in time before the door closes.

    I used to try and board late. Now it's first and the only reason is overhead space even in business class.

    Given that I sit in F 99% of the time, I have no specific preference when it comes to boarding time. My only pet peeve would be having to stow my bag in row 5 when I am sitting in row 2.

    This is not an issue most of the time, however.
