We traveled to Cuba using Copa, and for our surprise, they did not accepted our TAM mileage program.
Why that culd have happened if both are on Star Alliance?

Marcio, if you are Brazilian, read that: http://www.melhoresdestinos.com.br/avianca-copa-tam-fidelidade.html
Copa is relatively a new member of *A, and I know, it is kind of weird how they work. Their mileage program is owned by UA, they should work like UA (accept TAM), but they don't since they are a separated company. ??? Anyway, for my understanding, they didn't set any agreement yet for that, and, since they are leaving *A to became part of OW with LAN, they never will. If I were you I would try to get those miles deposited in another mileage program.. if you don't have *A status, Aegean might be a good choice!
