I'm a huge fan of Belgian beers, and one day (maybe this fall or sometime in 2012) I've love to get a group of friends together for a Belgian beer vacation. If you've done such a trip, I'd love your thoughts and recommendations.

    1. Is there a particular season that's best? (In terms of availability of rare beers/new releases, etc.)
    2. I know that some of the monasteries do lotteries for appointments, etc. Aside from those, do many breweries/monasteries welcome visitors like wineries do?
    3. Any region in particular that has the highest concentration of beer brewers?
    4. Will language be an issue? I'm hoping I can persuade a couple of Dutch friends (including one who grew up on the Dutch side of the Holland-Belgium border) to join us, but just in case...
    5. Places you'd highly recommend?
