All this time I have always thought...I wish there was a more efficient way to get around other than flying. Well, here is to holding out hope for this...or star trek style transporters before I die.

I give it a few minutes before someone creates a twitter account for the thing and reports they're in Tijuana for a pit stop.

An OP who would like their thread title corrected should click the Report button to request such a change by the Admins.

You still need the premium cabins because you could be sitting on the ground for up to 6 hours waiting to take off.

Plus, you'll really need the pre-flight drink.

Certainly will mean no in-flight service. That's probably a benefit!

I wonder what kind of IFE would be available for such a short flight? Would it just turn out to be 12 minutes of commercials?

No way I last all 12 minutes without it.

Based solely on the test flights so far, there's no way you'd last all 12 minutes with it.
