I'll be booking a flight for my wife and me from Rome to Bucharest for this summer. Three carriers fly direct - WizzAir, Alitalia, and Tarom. Other options (with connections) include Malev, Niki, and Czech Air. What are your thoughts on those airlines? Should I avoid any of them?

    Thanks!

Can you connect through Munich (or FRA) with LH?

For major carriers, check that it will really be their metal and not a codeshare or regional affiliate. Also check the aircraft types; I would avoid propellers or small planes.

Do you have status with any alliance? If so, I would use them unless there's a strong reason not to do so.

    Why should someone avoid propellers?

Alitalia. No connections makes for a much more pleasant trip.
