how are you all,
i need suggestion where should i go this year on vacation ??
Welcome to Milepoint! Since the question is wide open, I am going to give you one off my bucket list: Gros Morne National park in Newfoundland, Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gros_Morne_National_Park
With the best named waterfall anyplace: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pissing_Mare_Falls
Now I need to go just to see that!
Go everywhere and anywhere. Do like me...hunt for the best deals, find one, and if it is to a place that is on your "places I would go list"....check it off and go.
The approach I take as well. I have a rotating list of destinations and when I see a good deal, we book it.
How about Barnes and Nobles? Go to the travel section, browse the books and write down five or so that fancy you.
Then again, what you might be asking is what are the favorite places others have gone to. That can be difficult since there are a whole lot of first tier "have-tos" and sometimes it's the second tier that hits the most. That said, my favorite cities have been Florence, Prague and, of course, always Paris. Fell in love with cruising two years ago and have another planned. But we're in our sixties and have already done much of Europe. South America and Asia are now on the bucket list.
Oh the hell with it - just go to Paris!
And while you're there, pop in to the other UNESCO World Heritage Site in the neighbourhood, the Viking settlement at L'Anse-aux-Meadows. Don't miss the Norseman restaurant. Try the caribou.
That depends on your comfort level and sense of adventure.
Play it safe, no change in language, currency or culture - Hawaii.
Little more adventure, but culturally and ethnically same old, same old - Europe.
Sample other cultures vastly different from your own, visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Or drop by the Taj Mahal in India.
The list is endless.
What is it that you want to get out of your trip, and how deep are your pockets in terms of money/miles/points?
without more background, question really is too vague and open-ended
interests, budget, previous travel experiences, etc all come into play
Go to Rome, Tokyo, Paris, Istambul, Buenos Aires, Rio, or raft Grand Canyon, dive Galapagos, etc, etc...
Taking the easy way out?
Why not visit Ireland this year, gorgeous Dublin, the Powerscourt gardens, energetic Galway and Cork plus the Titanic building and exhibition in Belfast! Yes, it's Ireland and Northern Ireland combined on a island. Enjoy!
Isn't it cheaper to actually travel to the countries than go to Epcot?
For something unusual, a foray into the unknown, a sense of mystique, a passage back in time . . . Marrakech.
First trip to Paris was part of a Europe extravaganza on our honeymoon in 1970. We did it all by Frommer's Europe on $5/day. Hotels typically went for $7/night. They were awful but we were young and couldn't care less.
We've been back five times since and each time we fall in love all over again. Funny thing is that we pay even less now - all points! We love walking around the city and seeing all the sights. You're right - it's the easy way out for me but really, can the OP go wrong?!
With each other or with the city?
Beautiful! Both! You can see her picture - wouldn't you?
I am trying..and have been for a while. Just can't find any smoking deals to Ireland, so I keep going to other smoking deals. How can one argue with $410 rt to Singapore, or $370 to Madrid, or $500 to Germany, or $300 and 20,000 miles in first/business to Shanghai?
I make a Travel resolution list each New Years with destinations and see how many I get to do. query is too vague but if you fancy wine go on a tour of the vineyards of Napa, Argentina and France or find another theme to your travels this year. Last year I did a "living like Oprah" holiday of Miraval in Tucson (via RueLaLa flash sale) and Peninsula Chicago. This year theme is "South" as in South America and South Africa.
Plus, as a former Orlando resident, I can tell you that EPCOT stands for, "Every Person Comes Out Tired"
Hi. Based on your telephone number, I'll work off the assumption that you're in Pakistan. If I were there and looking to get away, here are three places I'd look at:
The first two are places that (assuming you have a Pakistani passport) you can go without needing a Visa. That may be an important consideration.
I'll also throw a longshot fourth destination out: Prince Edward Island, Canada. It would likely require three flights minimum to get there...but probably couldn't be more different than most parts of South Asia.
Let us know what you decide...and importantly, how the trip goes!
You're asking this in May?
Bermuda was fun.
Ecuador! Winter is USA and warm climates in S. America.
A bunch of us here on MP just went to Newark, NJ. That was fun
