If we are talking about which cities we will be visiting in 2016: Bangkok, Hua Hin (maybe), San Francisco, Vancouver, Dallas, NYC, Toronto (maybe) ... and other spontaneous long weekend trips to locations to be determined.

We live in the OC, 45 minutes south of LA :)

So are we only allowed to post plans if they involve luxury hotels? Since it's the luxury hotel forum?

    In that case, no plans.

Then I suspect no definite plans unless this qualifies. Given that the rack rate's under $200 USD, I doubt it. (Using Hilton cash+points though.)

There's also an outside chance I'll end up at Palms Place over Memorial Day weekend.

That being said, I couldn't have told you about my stay at the Palazzo in Las Vegas last September in January 2015, didn't know I'd be there. A friend inexplicably gave me a comp in exchange for all-you-can-eat sushi on me and took the freeplay (and shared dinner with me on his food comp). Nice place.

I don't often stay in 4-5 star hotels unless there's serious points action or some special deal. I guess I'm too poor or cheap for the jet set.

Heading to New Zealand (south island) and Tahiti next month. I don't think I'm staying anywhere more than 2 nights ranging from a hostel to some tree house rainforest retreat. I must admit I'm not too interested in most traditional "luxury" hotels. I never spend enough time in them during the stay.

I confess I stay at luxury hotels any place they're having a convention the hotel rates are cheap and the food is free.

I always look for a McDonald's or a good old pizza place near, and a Chinese restaurant .

    Conventions are great.
