I was just thinking, that with the reduction of 777 flying to Europe, where are these planes.

Europe is now only served with a single LHR 777 destination. No more DEL 777 flights.

I don't believe there has been an change in other routes from 767 to 777 has there? Does AA just have more 777's sitting on the ground? Was it an effect of the shortage of 777 pilots?

Europe is not the centre of the universe:) Start researching the number of AA 777 flights to SA .
You might be shocked I tell you:)

Asia?? AA are not that big to Europe to begin with. There's also a lot of competition over the Atlantic compared to south America

    I didn’t notice Sao Paulo.

So internationally AA flys the 777 to six destinations.
    Europe
    London
    South America
    Sao Paulo
    Buenos Aires
    Asia
    Tokyo
    Bejing
    Shanghai

Also MIA-LAX domestically and occasional subs to other international destinations. For example AA flew a 772 DFW-MAD for a few months this summer.

AAcargo.com allows you to see the international and domestic widebody schedules: INTERNATIONAL DOMESTIC

I remember taking the 777 JFK-MIA-JFK a year or so ago....they're out there, just being moved to where they are needed the most.

Fondly remember taking ORD-DFW on the 772 and upgrading to the Flagship suite on those short hops. Sadly only MIA-LAX has 772 service domestically now, and it's a 3 class cabin, so upgrades only go to J.

Just to point out! AA has a massive service with 777 to and from São Paulo GRU, they just added another MIA and JFK service that fly during the day! So that's 4 772s to that area!
