When the deal site does not live up to the deal?

    Please share your experience what one can do.

    My case involves the expedia.de deal from FT. The site accepted 70€ coupon when it should not have. Emailed confirmation showing the discount but actually charged a higher amount albeit not full rate. ie some random 20€ discount appears unexplained.

    What should one do when contacting expedia and they don't respond for a week? Dispute the charge before the trip?

    At this point I will be happy to cancel it altogether.

    Please advise.

    Try calling/emailing again. If still no response, I'd dispute the charge and/or cancel the trip if you are willing just out of a matter of principle. I don't like when people don't return phone calls/ emails!

    This is quite an interesting situation which I'm still not sure what the outcome will be.

    But after expedia.de and ebookers.ch experienced I had that really did not live up to their screw ups I'm definitely not dealing with these German mentality sites again. Not worth the hassle!
