When do I recieve Platinum Card? Is App or Plat agent email better?

    I completed platinum challenge in less than a month ;) and am now wondering when I can expect my physical Platinum welcome package including the Thank You cards, etc...

    Unfortunately, I have read previous posts that this process isn't as immediate as one might think it should be.

    Lastly, does my iPhone app recognize my platinum status and make me the same offers the platinum agent will? Recently, my agent booked a stay that was the same I could have gotten on the app...just wondering how to stay in the "know" of the best opportunities...

    Not sure how quickly they send you your card, but there should be absolutely nothing you need in the package. Only item of importance is your number on the reservation.

    Same rates are available no matter how you book - website, mobile, agent, etc. Of course you need to search with any SET codes if applicable for such discounts, etc.

    You can actually use the SPG App to create a virtual card that can be used during check-ins to validate your SPG status.

    Promotional codes may not be accepted using the app though so one should regularly refer to the actual site to check on rates as well.

    Still no card in the mail although promised one that was due in weeks ago...any ideas when I can expect it?

    I don't mind the virtual card, however, I would like to see the package and, most importantly, use the thank you cards. It is more the unknown that is getting to me...has the physical card program been cancelled or not??

    I believe that, in hospitality, there is nothing more important than recognizing those who are truly exceptional. They deserve whatever they get and I dare say they don't get recognized enough!

    The Elite Thank You cards are not being mailed in the membership kits any longer. SPG will soon be contacting elite members to tell them how to receive them.

    It can take up to 8 weeks for a membership card to be delivered, depending upon your location. After that time-frame, you can contact Platinum Concierge and they will ask Program Services to expedite a card to you.

    William, it has been more than 8 weeks, I'm in Northern Cali, and my excellent Platinum rep has put in the request numerous times.
