*I've never started a conversational thread before, hope people find this interesting!* Maybe I'm the only one, but for some reason I have a general obsession with how airlines choose to identify and market themselves. Based on the general outcry over United choosing to phase out the Tulip, I'm guessing I'm not alone! Growing up in Japan and flying on JAL, I've always had a strong affinity for their tsurumaru. I was thrilled when the re-instituted it this year. I even use a vintage JAL bag with the tsurumaru logo for my day to day work trek. Other vintage favorites: Air India's maharajah and Qantas' kangaroo. One that I'm not so fond of? AA's currently livery. I'm not sure why, but it's never struck me as very grand. So what's your favorite (or least favorite) airline logo/livery/mascot?
