Since CO and UA miles will/can be merged, I figured I would try the CO Mileathon scheme and get some bonus miles. But I've not had the best of experience with this promotion so far.

First of all, it is really hard to find a link from your account page on CO.com and I always have to do a Google search to find the page. And even then, it is March 22nd and I still get the:

Thank you for registering for Mileathon. Check back often to learn more about credit-earning activities.

It feels like this promotion is not on the up and up, cause I don't understand why they wouldn't post more uptodate/accurate activity information.

Is this how CO usually runs their promotions?

I still have no clue exactly how this promotion works, even though I registered. Is there a list somewhere of all the things you can do to earn points? And are these just bonus miles, or are they points that then somehow get converted into bonus miles? I have seen only one offer hidden in an email to do X for 20 points, and if I'm only getting 20 miles, than that seems like a really pointless promotion.

CO uses a permanent link anytime they run a Mileathon promotion: www.continental.com/mileathon

The promotion is on the up and up - CO usually runs Mileathon once or twice a year - but I have a feeling updating the site to show Mileathon progress has taken second fiddle to the merger IT activities. It might be worthwhile to PM UA Insider on this one.

The promotion is quite simple. Certain activity earns points, and depending on how many points you have by the end of the promotion, you get bonus RDMs. The only problem is that in the past they have been slooooow to show your mileathon progress, but I always get my bonus RDMs at the end.

FYI, signing up for mileathon and then applying for the Chase CO 50k card nets you an additional 2.5k bonus miles right off the bat with 20 points.

My mileathon miles never seem to post properly. It's too much effort for me to keep track of all this so I can seek the miles I've earned, but for those of you who love to tinker with spreadsheets, it's probably worth your effort to keep careful track of qualifying events.

So if you get 25 milestones, do you get 2,500 miles for the 20 and 500 miles for the 5, or do you just get 2,500 miles unless you get up to 30 milestones? Because I think I will have 25 milestones, for joining the program, signing up for emails, and getting the CC.

At the end of the period, you earn the miles noted for the highest milestone achieved. (So, with 25 points, you'd earn the 2,500 bonus miles. Earning 20 - 29 points nets the same bonus.) If you are able to purchase a couple of tickets between now and the end of April, you might be able to get to 30. :)

    Best wishes!

Has anyone seen Mileathon information yet though?

"Details of your Mileathon activity will appear here starting in March. If you haven’t already done so, you can earn three credits right now by signing up for Continental e-mails."

I don't see anything in my account yet regarding activity.

I've not seen anything yet either. But lets give them the benefit of the doubt. It is still March 31st in some parts of the world.

Tried to sign up, but got this:

Thank you for your interest in Mileathon. However, the registration period for this promotion expired on Feb. 28, 2011. We invite you to find out about other OnePass promotions and offers.

Yeah, just got the email to check Mileathon activity and I see they have started posting some things.

Still frustrating that it took this long to get an update out and as far as I can tell there is no way to request missing activity.

I have an error in my mileathon account. I did not receive any points for signing up for the Onepass Chase card. Does anyone know who the best contact to correct that would be?

  18. I also got the co mc from chase, two weeks ago.
I got an email today saying i had mileathon credit, this was 6 points for signing up for CO emails. It looks to me like CO is running a little biiiiiiiiiitttt sllooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwww on posting mileathon credits.
I am waiting for my first statement to close, bonus miles to hit the CO onepass and then i will give em another two weeks to post before i go after the milathon credits.
Reading up on mileathons of years past, patience is the ticket.... just so long as they aren't as slow as citi bank posting AA for checking....

Does anybody know if purchase from 1-800-baskets through one-pass website will earn the mileathon credits?

My points for getting the CO Chase card posted to mileathon. I ordered 1800 flowers for mom & grandma on 4/4, not seeing that activity yet.

For anyone trying to reach a mileathon milestone - ordering flowers from 1800flowers is very easy to do and you can order very far in advance of the actual delivery date (I once ordered flowers for Grandma in May and delivered in October for her birthday). Mother's Day is around the corner! Also, sign up for Fresh Rewards. $20 credit for every $200 spent at 1800flowers.

As a heads up, it looks like they have updated activity through March 30, although it appears car rentals still haven't posted yet.
