    I was thinking perhaps:
    - List of all the member airlines and their web sites
    - Reviews of the Star Alliance lounges around the world
    - A FAQ for Round-the-World tickets
Please add and I'll see what I can produce!

Also it would be good to know what lounges don't play by the rules for various programs (i.e. CDG *A not serving UA)...

1 - If a member airline adds or deducts something benefit-wise from the norm at each status level.
2 - Carry-on policy differences. I'm thinking of something like how Virgin's carry-on weight limit is so stingy; don't know if the same is true for partner airlines.
3 - Weight limits on checked bags.
    4 - Best airline for Y meals.
5 - Seat comfort comparisons for each class. Perhaps a running poll?
6 - Can use miles on a partner airline for F suites?

Having a ready list of the relevant airlines is a big plus, IMO ... respective lounge names could also be helpful.
Rules about RTW ticketing could be useful - or the areas where each airline is best known/strongest/has the best routes.

I have spent the last twelve years flying revenue on Alaska and United, accumulating a whole bunch of points. I am pretty well versed in all of the ramifications of both of those programs. Having recently become a UA 1MM, and switching from primarily revenue flights to primarily award flights, I find myself in new territory when it comes to things like flying first in LH to Europe, etc.

So for me, for us, it would be good to get information on the international first and business class benefits of both *Alliance and One World.

Of course, I always want ot hear about smoking deals on any airline.

A table with the Star Alliance MFU details by airline (fares required, points required, etc...) would be quite useful.

What about a review thread. Milepointers can review/compare and contrast *A carriers.

I would like to see a rebirth of the master list of through flights. I added a long list of CO flight numbers since the list had never been touched upon CO's entry to Star. Maybe a group of people can run through the old list and see if it is still accurate.

Dunno about the technical feasibility, but on FT a lot of the threads were summarizations of all the programmes. How about the other way round ? Think for example of "look up what Swiss L earns on other *A programmes". No doubt a lot of other useful information about *A or *A carriers could be duplicated, but making it accessible in such a way might just be the way to make it useful for both expert and novice.

Informational tidbits that come to mind: earnings, redemption rules, comparisons etc.

Agree, especially number 1. I would also like to know who the shinning stars are during irregular ops. Essentially what carriers are talking care of members when the chips are down and they are most needed.

I think that this is a good idea! Pros/cons of each * carrier. Why you should fly UA to FRA, instead of LH, if going in Y, etc..

It would be nice to have an index of route/carrier/class recommendations so that, for example, if flying from NYC to FCO in C you could see a quick index of recommendations from folks about UA/LH/CO/other options.

Along those lines, what would be most useful would be a by airport listing/ranking of *A lounges (so that someone flying through on a *A itinerary can quickly figure out which lounge(s) to visit.). We could start with the major airports and slowly add to it...

It took me a long time to realise there were often better lounges than the airline I was flying with, so this is a very valuable list. Thanks.

I still remember 3 hours at an airport being bored out of my mind just walking around. I found out about the lounge as my flight was finally ready to depart, and my corresponding "duh" because at the time I hadn't thought to look for a partner lounge. My only excuse is that was very early-FF days for me!

Many great ideas (for many threads). One thing I'd like to see on MilePoint is that threads get broken out when they become (or before they become) too big for usefulness. I know by "here" OP meant what threads would we like to see in the Star Alliance Forum, but even within threads started for specific ideas or questions can get complicated fast as other issues are brought forth or the "meaning" is expanded. It's a fine line. Don't know quite where I'd draw it.

Anyway, I would like to know about (as others have mentioned) *A hubs. Direct routes. F routes. *A lounges. And really like the idea of airline comparison and/or rating charts.

Another idea: this may be complicated but is there anyway to link to Trip Reports that occur on *A flights? As that Forum gets populated I'm sure we will see plenty of TR's that will be *A specific, or partly *A.
