I'd love to hear your stories about airline food (including lounges).
Welcome to the "troop" monkey girl.
Riyadh F class lounge during the month of ramadan isn't so hot.
Lounge in Beijing had warm beer in the fridge and warm sandwiches under a plastic cover. Forced myself to drink a beer then left.
Better than the lounge in Kunming. No beer at all. Tg flight has no IFE as well. I must say, C class was only $90 more than economy
Many, many years ago I flew on Piedmont ("Pigmont") Airlines a lot in the SE US. On one flight they gave us a mini-deli selection on a translucent, yellow plate wrapped in plastic wrap. As a joke I took it home and pinned it to our bulletin board. It sat there on the bulletin board until I moved (at least two years). There were so many chemicals in the meats, cheeses, etc. that nothing under the wrap every changed color, grew mold, decomposed, smelled or whatever. I swear they mummified that snack from Hell.
The worst: The US Airways snack basket.
Lounge in Bali no beer, but bottles of spirits available. How many aussies would they get in there in a day. Beer is an essential part of our diet.
GulfAir's cardboard box full of cardboard, usually given away on flights from RUH-BAH, is pretty bad.
The high amount of aussies is the reason that there was no beer
Ariana Afghan Airline 'special meal'. Pics to come. That airline also qualifies for worst airline toilet experience. I see a new thread in the making.
You may be right, take a few on-board for any on tarmac delays.
A CSA special:
On a recent flight from Jakarta to Mataram, via Surabaya, they let us take 6 cans of Bintang onboard for the flight. Good old Batavia Air (and CGK security). Needless to say, we were a bit weary at the other end.
that's a lot of liquids!
I think I'd actually try that!
On flight times close to three hours, it would be nice to get something more than a Lorna Doone cookie for an F meal.
If a bland tasteless dinner with some mystery meat thrown in is your preference, hey, it was great!
"Breakfast" on KL short haul is always a fun game- guess what the breakfast is supposed to be!
I didn't say I'd like it!
Gotcha....I try most things too
Worst meal in first? The bag of potato chips I got on USAir for a 3.5 hour flight!
Continental coach class, a long time ago, frozen bean burrito.
Air India. I don't know what I was eating. I think Alpo would have tasted better.
