    Hi all!

A bit of a last minute question. Wife will be traveling on my reward miles (Economy, I am 1K) and will have to spend ~5 hours waiting for people in her group to arrive at Heathrow. I see that there is only one Star Alliance Lounge on arrival side and it's only for Business/First. Any change for an exhausted Economy to sneak in (she'll look the part for being exhausted, that's for sure!)? Or other alternatives for comfortable waiting? Thanks!

She might be less 'exhausted' if she flew BF!;) Otherwise, I doubt there is anyway to get her into the arrival lounge w/an economy tkt.

Nope, no way. Even Star Gold doesn't cut it.

Did you offer to pay money or use a double miles award?

Unfortunately not and she is traveling without me.

This was not part of the plan, she was supposed to be able to get out of the airport right away. Anyway, she'll handle this.

  9. If you were flying through YYZ and connecting with AC to LHR in J you could have the best 5 hours layover in their arrivals lounge, shower and all.

The *A lounge blows - an awful place to spend an hour, much less 5. If there was a way for her to access the awesome BA lounges in T-5 that would be a pleasant place to go. But probably a non-starter for your wife.

Why would she have to wait at LHR? Is she connecting? Why not simply go into London via Heathrow Express and meet there?

If she is connecting at LHR and doesn't want to go into London then an alternative option would be to store luggage and take a taxi/car service to Windsor Castle. We did this last year - great experience though the taxi fare plus castle admission is not cheap. Detailed info on flyertalk forums.

Was not connecting. She was waiting for another group of people to arrive on a different flight to travel to London together.
