Cool article. Thanks for sharing, though a lot of those things seem very obvious to me.

I did like the bag he recommended as not a bag that approaches "Maximum Legal Carryon" size and instead is built to easily fit into overheads. I also liked the soap idea.

years ago, even though in great shape, a doc said that I needed to start wearing compression socks due to vericose vein history in my family. One of the first things I noticed when wearing them while flying was how much better my legs felt.

I don't think one has to go out a purchase the suggested "high-tech pair like Zensah massaging compression socks" but that seems to be a Forbes way of making some extra $ by urging a specific brand to it's readers.

I catch crap from my neighbors when I'm out mowing the lawn in shorts during the summertime as I wear white knee high compression socks, frequent comments I hear include 'hey Mr Kotter' or 'hey White Shadow':D If I wear shorts while going out, I spare Mrs Sweet Willie & do not wear the compression socks.

:) I'll run in them with shorts on, but that's about it...of course, there's not much need in the UK to run in shorts most of the year!

The Zensah socks mentioned are $50/pair!!!! I would NEVER pay $50 for a pair of socks! What brand(s) do you recommend?

I guess you've never purchased cashmere socks either.

Bowers & Wilkins's P5 headphones aren't noise-cancelling. It doesn't have a built-in microphone or allow you to do anything with its "remote" except adjust the volume. Makes one wonder what research has gone into this article...

Lol! That's the bag I use, and I routinely follow all of these other tips. My compression socks also did not cost $50, and made my legs feel great on my trip to NRT.
