What I wrote in the Pandion thread,

Should actually be of interest to SAS. Anyone know of SAS have done any survey's about this? What are SK's plans going forward with Eurobonus? How could SAS improve further?

I thought it would be interesting to hear the collective view at this forum as I know that people from SK read here...:)

    The floor is open.....

For EBGs: automatically blocked middle seats, when possible and let EBGs get a few buy-on-board vouchers each year (they did this a few years ago as a one off thing). In addition to an intra EU upgrade voucher per year, would sound reasonable in my view as satisfactory improvement. EBS: Silver benefit is OK considering how easy it is to achieve it, but give them maybe one or two business lounge or buy-on-board voucher.

It's also an excellent opportunity for us to collect the collective thoughts of Milepoint and bring that with us to the meet-up with SAS and Blue1. I know there will be representatives from Eurobonus from both SAS and Blue1 at the meet-up.

    M2C on this are:

    EBS:
    • Should be able to purchase vouchers to the lounge
    • Should be able to pre-select seat 24 hours prior to departure
    EBG:
    • Should be able to pre-select seat 48 hours prior to departure
    • Should ALWAYS get free coffee
    • Should get 1 upgrade voucher/ 20.000 points earned
    • Should have free middle seat if the aircraft is not sold out
    EBP:
    • Should be able to pre-select seat at booking
    • Free BOB
    • Should get 2 upgrade voucher/ 30.000 points earned
    • Should have free middle seat as long as there are available seats

It's not just SAS that struggles with differentiating between the various tiers. We have debated this before at the other forum many times and I totally agree that Eurobonus is ready for a major revamp.

I think the voucher suggestions are good (even electronic ones), but the way I know SAS IT (or rather their very incompetent outsourced IT company), I'm quite sure it's not realistic to get anything like this implemented.

EBGs and EBPs should both get free BOB in my honest opinion, SAS is absolutely alone (except BMI) on having BOB of the European Star Alliance carriers.

With the Eurobonus management being the same for a very long time, I have absolutely no faith that there will be any changes at all..

I did not say anything else and I was just thinking of what each tier should have and if it exist, all the better.

One thing BA Gold give you is the ability to pre-select Emergency seats 24 hours in advance and that is actually not so bad. You can do it otherwise as well, but then pay for it.
