Very recently I traveled through Vladivostok, Russia. Not one, but 2 Hyatt properties were scheduled to open for the 2012 APEC meeting. One can see the Hyatt Regency name closer to the ship/waterfront. The meeting successfully went by but the Hyatt's were never opened.

This is one of the Hyatt properties.

This one displays the Hyatt name very clearly.

Btw. Vladivostok is a very cicely located city and would deserve 2 Hyatt's in this emerging market... The locals laugh about the properties and shake their head.

The hotels must have declared independence. From Hyatt, not Russia.
